I received this Crosley Radio CD Recorder as a Christmas gift. I'm just now getting around to using it. It allows me to burn record albums, 45's, and cassette tapes onto a CD. It's a bit pricey so this Christmas gift is much appreciated! Thanks, Mom and Dad!
I am in deep now! This is definitely a fun project but I can see it's a project that will be time-consuming. I have 45's scattered on the floor in the living room. Ready and close to organized to burn onto CD's. I'll burn a few albums onto CD's after cassettes and 45's. I am thrilled to share I am burning a cassette tape to a CD as I type
this. So cool. What I will do after I get my music transfered is get some of my parents music and burn it onto CD's. The albums and 45's they have from Waaaay back when are scratchy but I want to get them onto CD's anyway. I had made a cassette several years ago entitled, "My Favorites From Mom's Time" but the tape is unplayable now.
Does anyone remember this group? I liked this song, "(Keep Feeling) Fascination" by Human League and the 45 has a colorful slip cover shown here. Just for fun I included the audio.
I have tons more music though and this is not my favorite but one of many songs to burn onto CD's. From a previous post I know many of you were mostly interested in transfering cassette's to CD's. It's real easy with this unit. If you want to separate songs to their own tracks, though, you have to baby-sit the recording. If that's not important you can take time and make a post like I am! You will need to turn the cassette over because it doesn't change directions and continue by itself. It's time consuming but as any worthy project, I will be glad to have taken time.
Here is a sample of their music. Their roots are in bluegrass but their style is more acoustic I think and they integrate other genres as well. There are three instruments, the mandolin, the guitar, and the violin. Here is a link to a little more information on this group.
Enjoy!
Update: Since Patrick said 'Reasons Why' is his favorite song by NC, thought I'd go ahead and include it here.
Thanks to Know It All for this 'easy' and fun Meme. I don't use my Nano iPod much right now (mainly used for working out) or listen to iTunes much so it was fun listening to some music I hadn't heard for awhile.
IF YOUR LIFE WAS A MOVIE, WHAT WOULD THE SOUNDTRACK BE?
1. Open your library (iTunes, Winamp, Media Player, iPod, etc)
2. Put it on shuffle
3. Press play
4. For every question, type the song that's playing
5. When you go to a new question, press the next button
6. Don't lie and try to pretend you're cool - first songs only
