Scooter wanted!
I live in the Midwest, specifically central Indiana. I am in want of a good used name brand scooter. They are sooooo hard to come by here. I hope I can mention a Scooter other than Vespa's here and not be kicked out of the group! :-D ???
I'd like a name brand Scooter like Vespa, Aprilia, Honda, Yamaha. It needs to be highway worthy but won't be on the highway much and needs a low seat height.
I have a friend with a trailer who'd travel with me up to 300 miles to get one. We would then have a Scooter club of two in our city.
There have been a few appear on eBay but they are so far away like Texas, Florida, South Carolina., Canada! Wondering if there are websites that list scooter for sale. On 'google' I'm not having much luck.
Anyone have any input?

While I own a Vespa, one of my friends rides a Bajaj scooter and loves it. Bajaj has stopped making scooters, but you can still find some for sale (used and new). He recommends Argo scooters and Genuine Scooter Co. as good Vespa alternatives.
By the way, I drove 200 miles to buy my Vespa. And I attended Earlham College in Richmond, IN and knew a guy who got around on a Vespa at the time. He loved his. And I love my red LX 150.
I just joined the group and saw your post. Not sure if you have found the scooter of your dreams yet...
I have a 125 Red Buddy by Genuine and absolutely love it! I live in Chicago and scoot all over town, including to work downtown. Buddy's come with a 2yr warranty and road side assistance. It's an automatic transmission so it's an easy twist and go ride w/o shift gears. Also it takes regular gas vs the gas/oil mixture. I highly recommend it for new scooter riders!
If you're in Chicago, Scooterworks is a great place to look for Scooters.
Good luck in your scooter search!
Shannon, thanks! No scooter yet. I'm not looking right now but I'll get the itch this Spring I'm sure. :-)
