Pondering the word 'nevertheless'

Here's mine:

People continually did terrible things in the name of Christ, all but destroying the Lord's good name with their selfish and judgmental actions. Nevertheless, Kirk's faith remained intact.

Oh, Susan, this is wonderful. Max L. really can take a bead on some ideas and words, can't he? Thanks for sharing it with us. I can see myself saying this to myself over and over as I go about life.
Oh, my gosh, a miracle.

"Oh, my gosh, a miracle."

Yeah. I'm told they're one of the fringe benefits. :)

Glad you both were also blessed from this devotional. That makes me happy. :-)

I'm still pondering this word and how it can and does apply to my life.

Great message Susan. Thanks for the post!
So what is your nevertheless?

Still pondering

I love Max Lucado writings because they make you stop and think. I wish I had a way with words like that. They are very uplifting to the soul and spirit. He had me thinking about my nevertheless statement and what it would be.

It's amazing when one word can pack such punch!!! How thought provoking. I enjoyed the entire devotional...was just today thinking about the fact that we can decide to listen to whichever voice we choose. Do we want to heed the words that accuse us, and that seek to destroy us? Or do we take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, and cast down those vain imaginings? We can instead choose to listen to the voice of our Father through His Word, or directly from His Spirit, where we will find words of re-assurance, life, hope, and peace where our souls can find rest. I definitely choose the latter! Thanks Max L., and thanks Susan for sharing!
Hi, neighbor!
