Maybe I'm the only one
who's watching 'So You Think You Can Dance' but I'd like to post my favorite dance and song so far this season. Pasha is a great dancer. He's my fav guy and he brings out the best in Sara. It's neat to see the b-girl (female hip-hop dancer) dancing Swing and doing a fine job. He is originally from Russia and ball-room and partner dance is his genre.
It's a little too dark to see the movements of the dancers that make this such a good dance segment. They did a great job and I love this song. By the way, if you want to watch the dance only, it starts at the 3:12 mark.

Hey, girl. It's nice to see another dance fan. Loved watching Benji last season and it's great to see him around this season supporting his sister and helping with choreography.
It'll be real interesting to see how everyone does with another partner this week.
So Pasha is your favorite guy, who is your favorite girl?
Neil comes in a close second to Pasha. The girls are a tougher group for me to decide which I like best. I'd have to say Sabra and Sara are my choice for the girls. Lauren is a close behind though I think Jaimie is a better technical dancer and Lacey is a better performer. I want to see them all with different partners this week and see what I think then. Is that vague or what?! ::: laughing :::
I really enjoy Sabra and Dominic as a couple. They are playful and fun to watch. It's been cool to see Dominic prove the judges wrong on their first impressions of him. I also like the pairing of Lacey and Kameron. It'll be interesting how Kameron does without Lacey as his partner.
Who is your favorite guy and girl? It's funny to hear Cat Deely say these two words, especially 'girl'. :-)
For the girls, I'm totally undecided. I will say that I'm not a fan of Lauren, and I'd probably get rid of her next. Lacey is pretty good, but I agree with Wade's criticism of her that something just seems fake sometimes. Jaimie is breathtakingly beautiful, but might not have the personality/performance to pull her through. Sabra and Sara are both excellent, but we'll see how they fare with different partners!
Sabra and Dominic have been a lot of fun to watch! I'm sad to see them split up, but we'll see how it goes!
For the guys, Pasha might just be my favorite. I'm still sort of undecided with them too. Something tells me that unless Kameron gets a great partner, he'll probably be out pretty soon. I'm not a big fan of Neil, actually. He seems to be all tricks...more of a gymnast than a dancer. I much prefer Danny, even though his character so far has been kind of flat. Maybe it's just because he's Travis's brother that I like him. ;) If I could pick who to be eliminated next, it would probably be either Kameron or Neil.
But when it comes down to it, it all depends on what they do with their new partners. I really don't have very strong opinions formed yet.
Only thing I know is this: every season there has been a Russian ballroom dancer who has been brilliant. The problem was that they never had the charm and personality necessary to make it very far. Pasha just might be able to change that. He's got more of flare to him, and I hope he does well!
It'll be interesting to see who leaves tonight.
Top girls for me were Sabra, Lauren, Lacey. Top guys were Danny and Neil. Pasha was great with the Hip-Hop routine but thought he wasn't one of the top ones for the solo.
I thought Wade, with inspiration from his wife, was creative with the solo theme and routine.
What did you think of the results and the new partnerships?
I bet that's why they call it "America's favorite dancer" and not "... best dancer". It really is a kind of popularity contest in some respects. Jaimie is a top-notch dancer but personality and connection wise she just didn't draw the votes.
I'm sooooo glad Danny is still here. He is a beautiful man and dancer. I, personally think he is just a quiet, deep person and he communicates well through movement but they are trying to get him to be something he's not. Now I could be wrong here but if he has walls to come down then I hope that he's able to stick around and we get to see it. It would be awesome to see him win America's hearts and get it all.
I'm not surprised about who's left. I'm excited to see who rises to the top in the following weeks. I'm glad Dominic didn't go home because of his one off week but I was concerned for him though.
The pairings? The one pairing that did NOT work AT ALL for me was Dominic and Jaimie... and those outfits? Ugh, especially Dom's. That brown suit was just soooo wrong for him. Danny and Lacey were awesome and both in their own right very hot and together clicked, IMHO. Neil and Sara were just cute. Thought they connected in their goofy way.

I've also come to the conclusion that Pasha has chemistry with everyone. I don't even like Lauren, but I liked her this week, probably because she was with Pasha. :)
And I really love Sara, but I still just can't make myself like Neil. Oh well. They did do well together.

Ah, Jaimie and Danny. Yes, beautiful. Poor Jaimie. She had Hok before Dom and neither were right for her.
You are definitely right about Pasha. I bet he breaks alot of hearts and not because he's mean. He just has a way about him. Obviously, he's a great dance partner.

No, but would love to dance like they do. I think partner dancing like that would be so fun, so freeing.
Never had a dance lesson but would like to sometime. Well, actualy I took ballet and tap in grade school at the local Boys and Girls club. Does that count? :-)
Oh man, I don't want any of them to leave at this point. Wonder why we have to wait until Monday for the results. Can't believe it's almost over. :-(
Danny is coming into his own. I'd love to see him and Sabra in the finals. With Danny getting it all.
They all did a great job last night. Choreographers were stellar I thought as well, IMHO.

Yeah I'd love to see Danny and Sabra as the top two. I'm actually hoping Neil and either Lauren or Lacey are kicked off on Monday. I loved everyone's routine, and I think they were right when they said that Neil used to be gymnastics with dancing mixed in and now is starting to grow. But when he did his solo, it was back to the no-growth. At least, that's what I thought.
If either Sabra or Danny win...I'll be very very happy. I really hope Lacey doesn't win.

Pasha's geeky hip-hop was fantastic. That was our Russian Pasha! Man, he's shown his versatility. Lacey was great as a manniquen (spelling?).
Danny and Lauren had a high energy routine as 'aliens'. Danny was gorgeous in his movements. Loved the gentle pirouette? (sp? again - out of my field lol) that Danny did before running up the steps and in the midst of the high energy routine. He's got it all. And I think he was helped by being with Lauren. IMHO, I think Laurens personality helped Danny this week. I think her personality and energy drew him out more this week and was a positive match for him. Just between you and me - and I guess whoever else reads this ;-) - Laurens too bubbly for my taste because it's so constant. That would get on my nerves if I was around that all the time. She is precious though and will go far in life and in her career. I'm pretty sure about that. There are other attributes that a person can have that are much worse.
I love Debbie, the judge, she's a cool dudette. Wonderfully encouraging in a professional way. Look at her credentials! I think she described Danny and Lauren's routine 'passion, perfection, personified'. Danced with power..... etc.' Nice 'p' collection. :-)
Neil and Sabra's performance gave me chills. That was so unique and seemed a little more than dancing, like a play or something but still I loved it. The Eurythmics song was perfect.
Those are what stand out in my mind the most. Oh, Danny's solo was my fav solo of the night.
It's just too hard to pick a favorite dance from last night. Even Neil dancing as a matador was good, again IMHO. :-)
I think the one that stands out the most for me is Neil and Sabra's jazz routine. That was just captivating. But then, I also really really loved Pasha's geektasticness w/ Lacey as a mannequin. Although, I think his solo was probably the weakest, sadly.
And Danny, Danny, Danny. Man that boy is freaking talented. And I think you're right. Even though I dislike Lauren for the same reason you mentioned, she probably did help him come out a bit.
And the smooth waltz was gorgeous, and I'm not usually impressed by them. Although I may have liked it better because it was Pasha...who's like the best partner you could ask for. ;)
I really have no idea who will actually go home next week. Man. So tough!
That was weird! The ending of Monday's show. No audience! Eerie! But understandable. I wondered how they were going to pull that one off and how the final four were going to have time for Wednesday's show.
I hated to see Pasha leave! But at this point, someone has to go.
I'm hoping to see Danny and Sabra at the end and either one will be a great winner. Emotionally, I want Danny. Sabra has it all and if she gets it, it's well-deserved.
You know...I might actually vote tonight. Maybe.
SABRA won!!! It came down to the two I'd hoped it would. I did wish for Danny to get it and I did vote for him, but Sabra is well-deserving. And I'm happy for her.
