I Know Too Much

Ha! The lady I sit with has that channel on all day, too, with all those shows on! I suspected Nick wasn't really dead.
I used to watch GH religiously when I was in Jr. High. And I always wondered why I never knew anyone with such glamorous/dangerous lives!!!

JM, you and I can watch the soaps together in separate houses. :-)

Wow. I totally get this. However, when I was home a few weeks ago I watched a few of my oldies and was totally amazed that the same folks are still around...same conflicts (they need help!)...only the new boinking parners are new. Oh, and now there are some that feature witchcraft and paranormal activity. Yikes!
Whoa...I haven't watched those shows in a few years, but I totally understood the story lines. Freaky!

I use to watch Days of Our Lives in college but I don't anymore. But one thing I know, When I turn on TV to watch the noon news, I see the same faces and about the same story lines..ie, things have never changed. Everyone has slept with everyone else and there is still a murderer on the loss. Roman has been 3 different people...and the story line goes on and on.

The sacrifices we make for those we love! I used to watch "Days" when I was younger, and a bit of G.L., but it's all just so useless and totally unrealistic in about every way imagineable!!! I think they fascinate the young because they don't know much about real life yet, and I think the older generation tunes in due to boredom...something to get lost in maybe. I can't think of any good reason for the rest of us to watch, EXCEPT for the fact that the hair/make-up/clothing can be pretty up to the minute! Otherwise, no redeeming quality comes to mind!

Guess current fashion/style is ONE redeeming quality to Soaps! Grandma thinks they have such good actors and writers for these shows. I personally like it when Grandma tunes into the Food Network.

The Food Network rocks! But especially HGTV for me...When my Grandma was still living, she watched "Young&Restless" with Lauralee Bell (I think that is accurate). The reason she was significant was because her grandparents were friends of my grandparents in Chicago...I think her Grandpa owned a fabulous shoe store, and my Grandma was all about some NICE shoes when she was young! So little Lauralee became a famous actress, which thrilled my Grandma! Isn't that cute? So when I had the rare pleasure of visiting my G'ma, I would watch with her so she could tell me that story. I miss her....
I cannot get into them at all. Only "Another World" which used to be on every monitor in a television station I once worked at and the entire station was hooked on it. When I left that job I never watched it again.

scrolling through the neighborhood...oh, here's Susan...I Know Too Much, what a cute title...oh, shit! Nick died in a plane crush...poor Susan!...wait, who the F is Nick?...did she tell us about a Nick?...

::: laughing :::: I can just picture your reaction. Glad my life is boring compared to the daily lives of these Soap characters.

Nick? Ooooo, he is such a cutie. If he, or his kind, were in my life I'd guarantee you'd know about him. :-D

Y&R is the only story I still watch. I used to be a Another World fiend when it was on the air.

BTW, I'm on Team Phyllis, all the way. ;o)

Phyllis was sitting on his bed holding Summer. He mentioned he didn't know what he could have seen in her to fall in love and marry her (I don't know the history here so I don't have a clue). She replied, "You were good to me". Seemed to infer she was a better person because of him. What do you make of that? I'm sure it's pretty complicated but can you sum up why you are on Phyllis' team? I have a feeling that statement of hers to Nick is NOT why you are on her team. ;-)

Actually, I've always liked Phyllis, even when she was an evil vixen. I like that she's strong and a survivor. Phyllis was well on her way to becoming a better person before she and Nick got together. But how she handled their relationship, was really an example of how far she had come. So in some ways, he/their relationship did make her a better person. And, I think what she said to Nick shows a vulnerability that she would've never shown before. Nick's comments were more reflective of the old Phyllis.

I don't like Nick's ex-wife, Sharon. She's always been pretty whiney and now she's just plain manipulative.

FYI - I'm really NOT THAT invested in this show...really.

Neither am I! ::: laughing ::: ...... but look at us!

As the title of this post says, "I know too much"..... could also be titled, "I know more than I care to know".

:-)
